Your hosts

Tom Hunt was born in Northland and is a long-time resident of the Far North of New Zealand. He is currently also a scallop fisherman. Monic Hunt is originally from Switzerland but has been resident in New Zealand for more than twenty years.

Lakeside was completed late in 2006 and offers self-contained holiday accommodation set in a beautiful garden just across West Coast Road from Lake Ngatu. Here in the Far North, you can enjoy peaceful surroundings in our warm sub-tropical climate - the 'winterless' north of New Zealand. We are an ideal base to explore the whole area from the Hokianga and Doubtless Bay up to Cape Reinga.

The accommodation

Lakeside is an all new self-contained wheelchair and handicapped accessible unit which can accommodate up to five persons and has living/dining room, kitchen and modern en-suite bathroom.

There is a patio with barbeque and excellent views across Lake Ngatu.

The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has a single bed.

The fold-out sofa in the living room makes another double bed if required.

All bed linen, and electric blankets, is provided. Laundry service is also available.

There is a television with Sky service and Internet access is available.

The kitchen has a microwave oven, four-burner hob, sandwich maker, coffee maker, 'fridge and freezer, toaster and all utensils are provided.

There is ample off street parking for cars and boats.

We regret that we do not allow smoking or pets indoors.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Deposits:
After we have advised you that Lakeside is available, during peak periods a deposit of the cost of one night's stay (or full payment) may be required. The deposit may be paid by cheque or transfer to our bank account. We regret that we are unable to accept credit card payment.

Cancellation:
As a small property, cancellations do heavily impact on us and if we are not able to replace cancelled bookings at short notice, any deposit will be forfeited. Any refund of deposit will be in New Zealand dollars.
