Lakeside is located on the Twin Coast Discovery Highway
touring route and you will find us an ideal base for visiting
the best of the Far North - from the Hokianga to Doubtless
Bay to Cape Reinga.
Travelling here by car by the direct route using State Highway
(SH) 1, or a combination of SH 1 and SH 10, the journey time
from Auckland is about four and a half hours without stops.
Travelling the Twin Coast Discovery Highway - a world-class
touring route leaving from, and returning to, Auckland - requires
at least two days in each direction to visit the many interesting

After reaching the township of Awanui at the junction of
SH 1 and SH 10, continue towards Cape Reinga on SH 1 and after
five kilometres turn left on West Coast Road, signposted to
Waipapakauri and Ninety Mile Beach and as soon as you reach
Lake Ngatu, Lakeside is on the right-hand side of
the road. |
